
Steven Lee
Steven Lee Sensei trained in Aikido under Kanai Sensei for 15 years, while also attending many seminars and summer camps in the U.S., Canada, and France.
He holds the rank of Shodan in Aikido and in Jodo (the Art of the Staff), and has extensive experience teaching adults and children.

Trey Peck
Peck Sensei began his training in Aikido in January 1984 and currently holds the rank of 4th dan. He has trained with many of the great Aikido teachers over the years: Senseis Kanai, Yamada, Tamura, Sugano, Konigsberg, Waite, Bernath, Keelan, Hall, and Stroud, among others. “In Aikido we practice to learn to be calm in the face of adversity and to protect our antagonists as well as ourselves.”

Dolita Cathcart
Cathcart Sensei is Yondan, Fukushidoin, and Chief Instructor of Harvard Aikikai. She began her study of Aikido in 1985 with Mitsunari Kanai Shihan and has taught Aikido at Harvard University, Boston University, Milton Academy, Wheaton College, and New England Aikikai. Cathcart Sensei brings a spirited sensibility to the study and practice of Aikido.

Viktor Voloboi

Michael Klinger
Klinger Sensei began studying Aikido in 1985 with Kanai Sensei and currently holds the rank of 3rd Dan. Additional martial arts studies include Tai Chi, Capoiera and Krav maga.

Scott Bennett-Jefferys
Scott Bennett-Jeffreys Sensei first joined New England Aikikai in 1999 and began training in earnest in 2007. He currently holds the rank of Nidan. After years as an assistant instructor in the children’s program, he now teaches children’s classes in addition to his regular adult classes. And, since 2010 he has also been a student of Iaido under Senseis Don Laliberty and Koei Kuwahara.

George Mokray
Mokray Sensei started practicing aikido in 1982 at New England Aikikai and holds a rank of 4th dan. He also practices tai chi, ba gua, chi kung, and makes up his own stretching and balance exercises from time to time.

Sarah Matthews Sensei started her training in Aikido in 2017 at New England Aikikai and currently teaches children’s classes.

Brian Ledford
Ledford Sensei started in 2005 and currently holds the rank of Shodan. He enjoys the technical challenge of aikido, while relaxed in a very specific way, being mindfully unmindful.

Agnes Kamasi
Agnes Kamasi started Aikido at Cornell University under Yukiko Katagiri Shihan in 2006 and currently holds the rank of Shodan.
After graduation she moved to Boston for work and continued her Aikido training under Sioux Hall Shihan, Dolita Cathcart Sensei and Daryl Muranaka Sensei at Harvard Aikikai.
